Third Watch
I haven't had much to put on here lately. I got moved to graveyard shift at work, so now I'm here late where it's relatively slow. I have tried filling the time doing some other things. I tried starting into the Illuminatus Trilogy, which I had bought some time ago when a friend had me buy it to borrow, but neither he nor I read it then. I gave up trying to read it right now though, after getting about 20 pages in, because it is so incoherent and rambling that I couldn't follow what was happening anymore.
I also started reading into the last Otherland book, but I haven't actually brought that to work with me because I have the hard cover copy which is very large, so hauling it to and from is a pain every day. There's no e-book for that, unfortunately, which would be much easier for me to use. I don't particularly have any other e-books to read, aside from the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, but I'm not sure where I put the ones I haven't read of those. I've also tried starting my novel, and another story (not sure if it would end up being long enough for being a novel or not), however after getting a really good start for the novel while out walking one night, I forgot it and haven't come up with it again.
So I've mainly been resorting to just trying to occupy myself with the internet, with various degrees of success. There's not much on the internet, really, at that time of night, at least in what I browse. I've found a couple flash games, but nothing that consistently holds interest, just things that can be finished in an hour or so. So I'm mainly just bringing my PSP and playing that, working on Monster Hunter and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. But for now I'm learning how to play Shogi, which is rather complex.
